About Art for Space

Founded in 2004 by Anne and Don Quibilan, Art for Space Gallery began with a humble but powerful vision: to promote art in the South. Initially focused on mainstream and Manila-based artists to audiences in the Visayas, the Gallery evolved to embrace a more contemporary direction. With the guidance of artist and curator Don Salubayba in 2010, Art for Space shifted its focus to championing young, emerging artists - a move that has since defined the Gallery’s DNA. Today, Art for Space is dedicated to discovering and nurturing young, often unknown talents, offering them a platform to launch their careers and engage with a wider audience. Our mission is to bring contemporary art closer to communities outside the traditional centers, with a particular focus on artists from CALABARZON, Bulacan, Bacolod, and beyond.

The Gallery has consistently maintained a strong presence in key local and international art events. We are proud participants of Art Fair Philippines, ManilaArt, Xavier Art Fair, and Art in the Park. Internationally, our artists have been showcased in Art Stage Singapore and at prestigious design and art shows like Maison & Object in Paris and Focus Art Fair in London. Through exhibitions, collaborations and art fairs, Art for Space continues to push boundaries and provide platforms for artists whose gifts deserve to be seen. We believe in the importance of supporting new generations of creatives and fostering a dynamic art community that extends beyond Metro Manila.
