About Cayón

Galería Cayón opened in 2005 in Madrid, having since expanded to four locations, two in Madrid, one in Menorca and one in Manila. From the beginning, the gallery has been emphasizing spatial relations in art by focusing on Minimalism, Neo-Conceptual Art, Geometry & Neo-Geometry, not excluding video or performance; continuously building relations between established and emerging artists whilst creating unprecedented dialogues related to public spaces and visual perception. During the past years, the gallery has been committed to the most conceptual and contemporary practices. The recent program of the gallery contains unique projects such as a color dialogue between Yves Klein and Stanley Whitney in our Menorca space, or Solo Exhibitions by Alan Charlton, Anthony McCall and Joel Shapiro. Recently, Cayón has expanded internationally, building bridges with Eastern culture, with the opening in 2017 of an office in Manila that has contributed to rediscover the significant figures of Alfonso Ossorio and Fernándo Zóbel in their own country of origin. In just the 5 last years, Cayón exhibitions comprised artists such as Joel Shapiro, Enrico Castellani, Carlos Cruz-Diez, Alan Charlton, Jan Dibbets, Dan Graham, Nancy Holt, Minjung KimYves Klein, Anthony McCall, Jesús Rafael Soto or Stanley Whitney. Our latest Summer 2023 Exhibiton in Menorca presented a Solo Show of over forty works by Joan Miró.
