About Pintô Art Museum and Arboretum

Pintô Art Museum and Arboretum is an exhibition space and contemporary museum located in the Philippines’ historic pilgrimage city of Antipolo outside of Manila. Formally opened in 2010 to exhibit the art collection of Filipino neurologist and art patron, Dr. Joven Cuanang, the museum (“pintô” means door in Filipino) had its roots as a haven for young artists from the 1980s onwards, some of whom are now marquee names in Philippine art. Currently, the museum presents rotating exhibitions of the foundation’s collection and oversees an adjacent gallery space that continues to exhibit and promote contemporary Filipino artists. Located within a two-hectare botanical garden, the museum recently appended “arboretum” to its name to underscore its commitment to ecology, its healing capacity, and its inextricable link to creativity and artistic regeneration.
