About FotomotoPH
FotomotoPH is a photography collective that organizes an annual photography festival which travels to different parts of the Philippines. The group’s objective is to promote Philippine photography as a manifestation of our shared experience as a nation, our diversity in perspectives including gender, socio-economic status, age, and geography, and as an art form that expresses our identity and culture.
The festival comprises an exhibit assembled by invitation and through a nationwide open call, reaching out to the diaspora. It is accompanied by public programs such as talks, workshops, portfolio reviews, panel discussions, and photo project presentations. The first festival, “Fotomoto 21 Invitational: Portraits”, was presented at 11 different venues around Metro Manila, with a satellite exhibition by art/n23 in partnership with PFASTUDIOS in Dumaguete, later presented altogether at Orange Project Bacolod.
The second festival, “Fotomoto 22: Home”, was presented at the UP Fine Arts Gallery and will later move to the BenCab Museum in Benguet and to Orange Project in Bacolod.
FotomotoPH is founded by Raena Abella, Jes Aznar, E.S.L Chen, Tom Epperson, Stephanie Frondoso, Francisco Guerrero, Wawi Navarroza, Apa Ongpin, Neal Oshima, Gio Panlilio, Sandra Palomar, Jason Quibilan, and Veejay Villafranca.
