What’s a DAO?

A decentralized autonomous organization (DAO) is a group organized around a mission that coordinates through a shared set of rules enforced on a blockchain. In the context of art there have been the rise of collector DAOs which pool money together to buy larger more expensive works that they all co-own in the DAO’s wallet. Recent examples of collector DAOs are the FlamingoDAO and PleasrDAO.
