Emerging Islands is a residency program in San Juan, La Union. It is open to artists and thinkers from all backgrounds (art, literature, music, photography, philosophy, and the natural and social sciences) to be able to study, work, and play for a month in the surftown. An artist will have opportunities to interact with the larger community at their own pace, carry out their own research with guidance from the curatorial team, produce art in a shared workspace environment, and participate in workshops and events they will co-instigate.
